New program alert! The Huntsville Public Library will be offering Homework Help for elementary and junior high school-aged students in math on Wednesday afternoons from 4:30-6 p.m. in the Nash Board Room. Mother Goose Lapsit
Do you have children ages 2 or under? If so, then Mother Goose Lapsit is a storytime designed for you! Enjoy a half hour of developmentally appropriate activities featuring stories, songs, and rhymes Mondays at 10:30 a.m. This program introduces little ones to the story time experience and is perfect for developing language and vocabulary. Story Time is a fun early literacy program for kids 5 and under at the Huntsville Public Library. Join us for interactive stories, songs, rhymes, and crafts three times a week. The early literacy practices featured each week help build the foundation for a lifelong love of reading and learning. Story Time offers caregivers and parents an opportunity to experience early literacy practices in action, discover great books and resources for home use, and socialize with other parents after Story Time. There is something new each week! Sign-up is not required. Story Time is held on Tuesday evenings, Wednesday mornings, and Friday mornings. Morning sessions are at 10:45 and evening sessions are at 5:30 p.m. January dates are as follows: January 2, 4, 8, 9, 11, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 29, and 30. Family Movie Night
Start your weekend with fun for the whole family! The Huntsville Public Library's Family Movie Night will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, February 1st in the StaggsCommunity Room. February’s Family Movie night will feature Small Foot. Enjoy complimentary snacks during the movie and remember to bring your own child-friendly drink and pillow or blanket. Sign-up is not required.
